Swedish Apple Pie

Sweedish Apple Pie

My niece Danielle made this pie the night before my flight home. The day we were supposed to go apple-picking.

DEE-lish! And easy peasy! I begged her shamelessly for the recipe, knowing full-well how busy she is right now with Aria and Ian.

Because, well, you know… it’s PIE!

And I love pie. :P

I stole the photo from here. I’ll be making this tomorrow morning and will try to remember to take my own photo to replace this one.

Preheat Oven to 350°

Fill pie plate with

  • peeled apples 2/3 full.

Mix:

  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Sprinkle over apples.

In microwave bowl, melt

  • 2/3 cup butter

Add to melted butter:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • a pinch of salt

Mix thoroughly.

Drop mixture over apples.

Bake for 45 mins @ 350 degrees

Add walnut/nuts to apples or dough mixture if you fancy

YUUUUMMMMM!
